Really useful tips. I had a lot of trouble with the controls in the beginning. By playing a lot you will get a sense/feeling for the steering.
Something I’ve had trouble with is sometimes my kart responds exactly the opposite direction I am drifting/steering. This often happens after gliding. Maybe bad finger position. I discovered that the side of the screen you’re putting your finger decides where your kart will definitely go. This helped me to get those steerings after landings right.
